Hey everybody! So today I'm going to tell you my top 10 auto-buy authors, so lets just get right to it!
1. Rick Riordan- My number one auto-buy author DEFINITELY has to be Rick Riordan! I've been reading and collecting his books since I was probably about 5 and I adore everything he writes! If you haven't read any of his books I highly recommend that you do so, you won't regret it! :)
2. Cassandra Clare- Cassandra Clare is such a talented author! I've recently read The Mortal Instruments series and quickly became OBSESSED. Her world building and characters/character development are just amazing! Once again if you have not read any of her work I highly suggest you do so!
3. Rainbow Rowell- RAINBOW ROWELL IS AN OUTSTANDING AUTHOR!! I sadly haven't read all of her books but I've read enough of them to know she is incredibly talented! Both Fangirl and Eleanor and Park made me feel so many emotions and were so relatable! I absolutely love her work and can't wait for Carry On to come out! *squeals*
4. Veronica Roth- After reading the ending to the Divergent trilogy and knowing what she's capable of, I'm a little skeptical about reading more of her work.... ;(... Just kidding! Although it wasn't my ideal ending, the books were all beautifully written and extremely entertaining! I highly recommend her Divergent Trilogy! :)
5. Alexandra Bracken- I very recently read The Darkest Minds trilogy by Alexandra Bracken AND LOVED IT SO SO SO MUCH!! All of her characters were unique and great just like the world she created! I'm very highly anticipating the release of her new book, Passengers.
6. John Green- Although I didn't enjoy Paper Towns as much as everyone else, I adore all of John Green's other novels! Everything he writes is entertaining, humorous, and devastatingly heartbreaking. So although reading his books comes with tears, I still LOVE reading them!
7. Suzanne Collins- This is an obvious one because of The Hunger Games. I enjoyed this trilogy so much, even other authors show their love when they steal ideas from it for unoriginal dystopian novels!!!
8. J.K. Rowling- Do I even need to explain this one?
9. Sarah J. Maas- Although I have only recently read two of Sarah's novels, I absolutely loved them! I'm already planning on buying Queen of Shadows when it comes out September 1st and I haven't even read the whole Throne of Glass series.
10. Susan Ee- I was sent the last book to Susan Ee's Penryn and the End of Days trilogy by Amazon so I thought why not test this series out? I can honestly tell you I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this series! I read each book in an hour or two and thoroughly enjoyed each one! I am patiently waiting for another book from this lovely author! :)
So, there you go! These are my top 10 auto-buy authors! Some of them are in order, however I was just typing them as I remembered which is probably why J.K. Rowling is number 8. I hope you guys enjoyed this and until next time, Happy Reading! :) - Serena <3

I HAVE RETURNED WITH MANY BOOK REVIEWS!!! :)
Okay, so hello everybody! Once again I apologize for my absence, my computer broke again which was awesome!! Okay, no, obviously that's sarcasm, it was absolutely horrible. Especially since I read so many amazing books these past months. So, I thought I would do a ton of tiny book reviews to make up for it! Here I go....
1. Penryn and the End of Days: I absolutely loved this trilogy! It consists of Angelfall, World After, and End of Days (all pictured to the left) by Susan Ee. It is a post-apocalyptic fantasy trilogy filled with action with just the right amount of romance. The book follows main character Penryn whose sister got captured by angels
who have taken over the world. She then joins a super swoon- worthy angel named Rafe, who is also after those same angels because they took his wings. This trilogy is action packed, funny, and overall so enjoyable and I highly recommend it!
2. The Darkest Minds (trilogy): Okay, I don't know why I held off reading this trilogy for so long. IT WAS AWESOME! There were honestly so many plot twists, amazing characters, heartbreaking and also heartwarming romances to the point that I can't tell whether these books destroyed me in a good way or a bad way! I was constantly on the edge of my seat and sometimes literally screaming out-loud at the books.(Do other people do this? haha probably not) The books are titled The Darkest Minds, Never Fade (pictured to the left), and In the Afterlight all by the lovely Alexandra Bracken. These books follow a girl named Ruby who lives in a world where more then half the children have died due to a disease called IAAN, The children who survived have these powers. The government has made camps that are absolutely horrible. Ruby is one the children who survived and must now learn how to control her powers after breaking out of camp. Once again, I highly recommend these fantastic dystopian novels.
3. A Court of Thorns and Roses: I'm sure everyone has heard of this book because 1. Its's written by extremely talented author of the Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas and 2. IT'S ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. I went into this book knowing nothing but that it had a lot of hype. Well, I can now tell you that the hype is real, this book is truly amazing. This fairytale retelling of Beauty and the Beast follows 19 year old Feyre, a poor girl who lives in a small town in a world that used to be filled with fae and is forced to hunt to care for her family. However, one day she kills a wolf in the woods, who is actually a faerie, and is forced by Faerie/Human rules to live with Tamlin, a friend of the faerie she killed, in the Faerie realm. The story follows her life there and how it escalates to take her on an action packed quest. It doesn't sound that good the way I explained it, sorry. I'm just trying to leave out spoilers. Finally, like the rest of the books I've reviewed in this post, I VERY highly recommend this book!
So those are some of my mini reviews! I hope you guys enjoyed them and maybe they helped some of you decide whether or not you want to read them! Until next time, happy reading! <3 :) ~ Serena

The Heart of Betrayal by Mary E. Pearson *review*
Author: Mary E. Pearson
Genre: Fantasy, Young Adult, and Romance ;)
My Rating: 5(million)/5
Series: The Remnant Chronicles
Publication Date: July 7th, 2015
Page Number: 470 pages
Goodreads Ssynopsis: Intrigue abounds in this hotly anticipated sequel to The Kiss of Deception!
Held captive in the barbarian kingdom of Venda, Lia and Rafe have little chance of escape. Desperate to save her life, Lia's erstwhile assassin, Kaden, has told the Vendan Komizar that she has the gift, and the Komizar's interest in Lia is greater than anyone could have foreseen.
Meanwhile, nothing is straightforward: there's Rafe, who lied to Lia, but has sacrificed his freedom to protect her; Kaden, who meant to assassinate her but has now saved her life; and the Vendans, whom Lia always believed to be barbarians. Now that she lives amongst them, however, she realizes that may be far from the truth. Wrestling with her upbringing, her gift, and her sense of self, Lia must make powerful choices that will affect her country... and her own destiny.

My review: Well, where to begin? First off I waited a whole year for the release of this book. A YEAR. Then I read it in a few hours because it was INCREDIBLE. Sometimes the second book in a series can be disappointing, however in this case it was not. I found the Heart of Betrayal to be better than The Kiss of Deception. It was the perfect blend of romance and action and suspense! It had me on the edge of my seat PRAYING that things would go how I hoped. Of course they didn't, but its okay. It was all around an amazing high fantasy novel. Overall, if you have read The Kiss of Deception, I highly suggest you continue with the series, you will not be disappointed! I need the next book now please. NOW WE WAIT.....
Sorry for my absence
I would like to formally apologize for the weeks that I have been absent. My laptop broke so I had to send it into HP and that was a hassle. Also, my current living situation is pretty,, difficult. So I'm not sure how often I will be updating my log, but I'm going to try my hardest!
Love you guys and thank you for your patience!

Angelfall by Susan Ee *review*
Author: Susan Ee
Genre: Young Adult; Paranormal, sci-fi?? :)
My Rating: 4(4.5???)/5 stars
Series: Penryn & the End of Days #1
Publication Date: August 28th, 2012
Page Number: 283 pages
“Here, I’ll show you how to use it. Let me see your foot.”
“That’s a pretty intimate demand in the angel world. It usually takes dinner, some wine, and sparkling conversation for me to give up my feet.”
Goodread's Synopsis: It's been six weeks since the angels of the apocalypse destroyed the world as we know it. Only pockets of humanity remain.
Savage street gangs rule the day while fear and superstition rule the night.
When angels fly away with a helpless girl, her seventeen-year-old sister Penryn will do anything to get her back...
My Review: I LOVED THIS BOOK. Lately all the books I've read I have loved and it's amazing!!! First off, it hooks you from the beginning with a thick plot. Then the rest of the book is ACTION!!! (and a little romance, heh ;33) The character development is flawless, this book is just so good! I am currently reading the second book, World After, and I'm loving it! I don't have much to say about this book, sorry for the crappy review. :P, I'm on a lot of medication for poison ivy and sumac, so I'm pretty out of it. I just wanted to feel productive, haha! Expect better reviews and posts soon once I'm in better health. Love you guys! <3 c:

Author: Claudia Gray
Genre: Young Adult; Sci-Fi
My Rating: 4.5/5 stars
Series: Firebird #1
Publication Date: November 4, 2014
Page Number: 368 pages
"Every Day meets Cloud Atlas in this heart-racing, space- and time-bending, epic new trilogy from New York Times bestselling author Claudia Gray."
Goodreads Synopsis: Marguerite Caine’s physicist parents are known for their radical scientific achievements. Their most astonishing invention: the Firebird, which allows users to jump into parallel universes, some vastly altered from our own. But when Marguerite’s father is murdered, the killer—her parent’s handsome and enigmatic assistant Paul—escapes into another dimension before the law can touch him.
Marguerite can’t let the man who destroyed her family go free, and she races after Paul through different universes, where their lives entangle in increasingly familiar ways. With each encounter she begins to question Paul’s guilt—and her own heart. Soon she discovers the truth behind her father’s death is more sinister than she ever could have imagined.

My Review: This book, this book, it was absolutely just what I needed. Now I warn you it is not a very large sci-fi book. Most of this book is based around a romance but with sci-fi elements like time travel. I've been in a horrible reading slump and this book is exactly what I needed. I finished it in one sitting and the romance was so perfect and complicated and just ahhhh. I can't say enough good things about this book. Just go buy it, read this book! The only reason it is 4.5 stars for me is because I went into it expecting an epic sci-fi. However I was not disappointed and I hope you won't be either! :)

Reading Habits Book Tag!
Grown Up Fan Girl created this tag and I wasn't tagged but oh well. ;)
This seems really fun so I tag anyone who wants to do this!
Question #1: Do you have a certain place at home for reading?
Answer: Normally I read on my bed but at the moment I live with my uncle so I read practically anywhere.
Question #2: Bookmark or a random piece of paper?
Answer: I used to NEVER use a bookmark, but I very recently started using bookmarks and collecting them! My favorite is a magnetic bookmark of Tina from my favorite show Bob's Burgers. I got it from Happy Hello Co on etsy, check her out! :)
Question #3: Can you stop reading anytime you want or do you have to start at a certain page, chapter, part, ect.?
Answer: This honestly depends on the book. If I'm so into the book I'll try to stop whenever I can force myself too. Most of the time I can stop anytime or at chapters.
Question #4: Do you eat or drink while reading?
Answer: Very rarely if I'm sooo into the book that I don't do anything but read, my mom will set snacks in front of me so I eat. But most of the time I don't eat, but I occasionally drink tea. :)
Question #5: Can you read while listening to music/watching TV?
Answer: I read while listening to music sometimes. But as always, it really depends on the book. I absolutely cannot read with the TV on though, not sure why.
Question #6: One book at a time or several at once?
Answer: ONE BOOK AT A TIME.
Question #7: Reading at home or everywhere?
Answer: Everywhere! I always have a book with me everywhere I go.
Question #8: Reading out loud or silently in your head?
Answer: In my head... I didn't know people read aloud to themselves lol
Question #9: Do you read ahead or skip pages?
Answer: I DID ONCE AND IT WAS A MISTAKE. NEVER AGAIN.
Question #10: Breaking the spine or keeping it new?
Answer: Obviously keeping it new! I love the look of a read book still in pristine condition!
Question #11: Do you write in books?
Answer: Only if it's for educational purposes but even then it's very rare.
Thank you for reading this tag, I hope some of you guys do this too! :)
